I used to post on these forums many years back. I started playing Harvest Moon/Bokujou/SoS with HM64, my sister rented it and I kinda... hogged it all week and got addicted. I still play SoS/Bokujou/ games now but I've been busy studying Japanese, working, taking care of my parrot, and taking an online course so I have a lot less time. Either way I'm having fun and one of my goals is to try to play all future games in Japanese (also can't wait for AC to come out and definitely playing that in Japanese too). My favorite Harvest Moon games are HM64, MFomt, STH and A Wonderful Life. I also like Rune Factory games, although I'm not sure which is my favorite.
Oh, and hi. I'll try to hop on between study sessions.

You can change your display name so that it displays capital letters by editing your profile! By default, it uses lowercase letters. All you need to do is make an edit and save! Welcome back Rin ♥

Thanks, she's a parrotlet: Also I would say if you can finish N5 and N4 grammar you should be fine to play a lot of video games (actually I'm technically not done N4 grammar). Note: I look up words constantly. It's not the same kind of "playing games" lol. It's studying, and sometimes it feels more like work than play but it's still nice to see the progress the more you play. I still consider myself a beginner. Games with furigana help (like the new SoS, and AC).

I LOVE BIRDS. i'm pretty sure my mom owns a couple of parrotlets and they're the cutest things. i actually picked up quite a bit of japanese just from trying to read comics by jp artists i follow on twitter (lol) so i wonder if i have an N5 level of japanese... i've gotten pretty good at recognizing sentence structures (kinda?) but particles still get me every time.

Yeah she's cute, I love when she flies to me or takes a nap on my shoulder. Every day is better just seeing her. To get an idea on your grammar level you could check Bunpro out, I think it should list the grammar points of each level even to free users (also has a 30 day free trial). Not trying to promote it or anything (currently don't use it, I'm going to use another resource for grammar myself) but it's a convenient list. I like Cure Dolly on youtube for grammar explanations.
